George has extensive litigation and advisory experience, frequently dealing with matters of constitutional law, public law, administrative law, human rights law, public tender law, disciplinary law, intellectual property law, patent law, energy law, labour law, family law, trusts, wills and succession law, real estate law and contract law in the Republic of Cyprus.
He regularly represents companies, municipalities, professional bodies and private individuals before the Supreme Court, the Administrative Court, the Family Court, the Labour Court and District Courts of the Republic of Cyprus where he has been successful in winning authoritative decisions on novel and important points of law.
George also frequently appears before Administrative and Independent Authorities, including the Tenders Review Authority, the Exclusion Committee, the Commission for the Protection of Competition, Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, the Office of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications, the Commissioner of Administration (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Cyprus, the Commissioner for Combating Racial and other Discriminations, the Cyprus Radio Television Authority and the Public Service Commission (regarding disciplinary proceedings).
George advises on the full range of intellectual property matters, and assists clients with the enforcement of their rights through litigation where necessary. Furthermore, he has experience in assisting clients with obtaining patent protection for their inventions and he is also involved with advising pharmaceutical companies on regulatory and compliance matters.
